Playback hangs after pausing

Everything works fine, except if I pause playback of any file type e.g. to go make coffee, when I resume play, after about 1 or 2 minutes playback stops and an error message appears-video data not supported, so then I have to exit and restart playback from the beginning and FF to the appropriate point.
Does anybody know how to fix this?
Using a Samsung H6400 on LAN. Using generic DLNA profile as a Samsung H series is not listed.

Karnith has created a Sumsung H profile. Hopefully Zip will add it to the next Serviio release. We are still tweaking the profile for the HU series (4k set). The generic profile played OK with my set, but it didn't display movie art correctly and had a few file types that wouldn't play.

I have this problem as well. I have Samsung UN65HU8500. I have found that if I use STOP instead of PAUSE, then start the video again, it will start more or less in the correct spot but will not then have the stopping problem. I'm using the H profile that came with Serviio 1.5.2.

Do you mean "standby" or do you mean your monitor gets turned off? My desktop never sleeps. My monitor does go off after some time.

I reproduced this hang after pause issue and have attached a debug log fragment in case the developers would like to investigate this issue. The log file has been zipped.

Log looks normal. It's a pretty huge file (13GB), I see the request for the remainder of the file (assuming after the un-pause) and then later the TV closes the connection. Not sure why, but there is nothing in the log suggesting it's to do with the server.

Could be network quality (high bandwidth needed for these large files), the TV firmware not coping....

HD Movie (1920 x 1080), so yeah, it's pretty big. I've noticed that the same thing happens on smaller files (generally SD video), but instead of just hanging and giving me a message, it stutters a while, then recovers and continues. Thanks for looking.

To verify this, I installed "Samsung Link". It has the same exact issue.

My TV is connected via 100MB Ethernet. There are no ethernet errors shown on my server PC.

I suspect this is just a problem with the player on the TV. I'll report to Samsung, but that seems to be a black hole.

Thanks again.

Sony Bravia KDL-52NX800. Same problem--once you FF/RW/pause a movie, Serviio 1.5.x video freezes permanently (audio still OK). Even restarting service is of no help. Serviio 1.4.1.2 and below has always worked fine. Running Windows Server 2008 R2 with latest Java 8 update 65.

I am streaming .mkv data to a Panasonic DMP-BDT220 Blu-ray player from my computer running Windows 10 and version 1.5.2 of Serviio. I can find and start the playback of the files, but when I use any of the FF, REW, or PUASE buttons on the remote control, the playback freezes. When I attempt to use the FF, REW, or PUASE functions, the display indicates that the function is being performed, but the video will not resume. The only way to get out out of this stuck mode is to press the stop button, this will take me back to the file select screen and I have to start the movie over from the beginning.
