Remote MediaBrowser no iPhone seek function

I have Pro running Serviio remotely, so I can access using Mediabrowser. Using a desktop running Firefox, the MediaBrowser interface allows me to drag-and-seek in files (to certain times, etc.). On my iPad Safari, this can also be done (except that when dragging to seek, the 'projected' time doesn't show, but it will seek to where you release the 'dot'). However, on my iPhone 5 Safari, there is no seek function at all, it just says 'live streaming'. Am I correct that the iPhone MediaBrowser interface doesn't have this function? Or am I missing something?

Still a wonderful feature, well worth going Pro.

Thanks

If you are playing a file that needs to be transcoded you will not have the seek feature until the transcode is complete. This usually takes about 10 to 20 minutes depending on the file you are playing and the speed of your processor. If you are playing a file type that is natively supported on ios devices like .mp4 the seek function is available immediately because transcoding is not required.

Seek is available on devices that are not ios (android, pc, etc.) because those transcode to a different file type (flash) which allows seeking while transcoding. If you are using a browser on your iphone that supports flash you will have the seek feature.

As far as your ipad goes I am not sure why that allows you to seek. I do not own one so I am not be able to test.

I hope this helps.
