Serviio doesn't start up on PC

I recently installed Serviio on my custom PC running Windows 8.1 and after installing it doesn't start up. I can see it running in the task manager but no matter how many times I click on it, my mouse turns into a busy icon for a second and everything goes back to normal. There are no error messages too. It's the same for the Serviio browser too.

type services in the windows search box. Make sure that the service Serviio is started.
Also did you install as part of the Administrator User group?

I had the same issue----and it is pilot error. When you execute (start) the console, it starts in a minimized state. You need to click the triangle symbol on your task bar (by the time) to reveal the icons of the minimized-hidden tasks. You'll see the Serviio symbol. Right click it and select Open console.
