Serviio v1.5.1 and Synology DS214

Hello

I use the Serviio Server on my Synology DS214 (NAS) and the Serviio Console on my Windows 8.1 PC.
Since i updated the Serviio Console to v1.5.1, the Console is no longer working.

I can start the Console via ServiioConsole.exe and see it's Process in the Task Manager for a secound before the Process is automatically terminated. No Error-Message, nothing.

Like before, i've defined the IP-Adress of my Synology DS214 running the Serviio Server in the File "ServiioConsole.exe.vmoptions" with the variable -Dserviio.remoteHost=
If i leave the file empty, the Console starts with the known Error-Message, that it can't find the Serviio Server.

-Serviio Server @DS214: Version 1.4.1.2-0026
-Serviio Console @Win 8.1 PC: Version 1.5.1

The latest release of the Serviio package for Synology NAS is the installed 1.4.1.2 - see Download-Section

Does anyone have a solution for my Problem?

You must use the same version of Serviio Console as is being run on the Serviio Server - in your case the console must be version 1.4.1.2.

Why?
According to the Release Notes, it's just an Update, not a complete new Version.
And where do i get the Version 1.4.1.2, the Download Section offers only Version 1.5.1 ?

Each 1.x release usually brings a configuration API change and as the console only supports the current API you need to have the same server and console versions. As almost all of the changes are implemented in the server there is no point in running a newer console verison than the server.

You can access older versions by changing the link e.g. http://download.serviio.org/releases/se ... -setup.exe
