ServiioGo not listing contents

I am just testing the 'over the internet' things before buying the Pro version and I have a couple of problems.

1) Using Serviio Go (doesn't ask me to login)

I can connect to the server but when I click on folders or Last added ect there is not content showing.

2) Media browser method.

When I open my server using the media browser method, I can see folders and enter them and see the tv shows however when I click on play nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong?

I have set the server to transcode to the easiest method, leaving audio intact (just so I can get something streaming)
I have a password set and on the media browser I can log in.

ServiiGo will automatically setup the server using the default settings. Have you set the default access group to Limited Access? If you log out of the server you will see the list of configured servers, does it say Limited Access or No Restriction? If limited, Long click and select edit.

Also forgot to ask, which OS are you using, if Linux, which version of ffmpeg?

Also why doesn't serviiGo ask for the server password?

Because it got it from the server when you added it to ServiiGo (have to be on your home WiFi for the auto setup).

How did you add the server, manual (enter details) or automatic (just select).

Either way, that shouldn't affect what is listed. Could you check the Serviio log to make sure there aren't any errors?

Thanks for the advice! It now works internally (home network) and over 4G and ect WIFI.

I guess i just needed to add the server internally first so it could get some settings?

:-)

now i can test when i get to work and purchase the pro version if alls well.
