Serviio No Longer Refreshing Library

Guys

As of about 6 weeks ago, Serviio no longer refreshes the library with new files dropped into the relevant folders. It seems to do some, but not others.

Has the frequency of refreshing changed in later versions? (1.5x +?)

I've made ZERO other changes aside from the account the service runs under (which is the administrator account for the system the drives are on).

Any other ideas?

The whole method of library refreshing changed in version 1.5 - see http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=lib ... _mechanism. What OS are you one - different OS's have differing limitations?

Have a search through the forum - there has been a lot of discussion on this, and on the capability to revert to the old polling method of library refreshes if you wish (version 1.5.1 onward).

I have the same problem and have searched the forum and can't find a solution. Im running yosemite 10.10.2 (14C109) and Serviio 1.5.1
My library never refreshes unless i do the manual force refresh. Even after I quit Serviio or even restart my MacBook Pro. I read the Wiki article and didnt see a solution that I understood. Is there anyway to fix the problem?

Guys, you have to post your detailed log for us to try to identify the problem.

Hi. I updated today serviio 1.5 in my QNAP 269 Pro. And I am having the library refresh problems. It doesn't refresh when I add new files, only refreshes if I force the refresh.

I atttached my log to see if anyone can help to fix this.

I can't update yet to version 1.5.1 because the qpkg isn`t available yet.

Here is the second log file, as it splitted in two files because of the size.

Thanks.

Can you ssh on your NAS and run this command?

  Code:
inotifywait -m /share/Multimedia

and then copy a file to your Multimedia folder (root, not a subfolder of Multimedia). Does the command above generate some output with file events?

If you do, can you try to copy a file into /share/Multimedia root and see if Serviio picks it up?

I fixed my library refresh problem. Made another clean install and manually updated to version 1.5.1 and webui 1.6.3. Now works as expected.

Not sure if it's related to web ui?

I doubt it. But someting to try would be to uncheck Automatic updates, save and check it again + save.
