Multiple servers on a network?

So, we got a smart tv today for the first time, and I'm using serviio from my computer to stream movies to it. I'm just wondering, though would it be possible for multiple computers on the network to run serviio at the same time, and have the tv access the libraries from both? The reason I ask is that my father also wants to be able to stream from his laptop, and I'd rather not have to go and disable serviio on the computer when he wants to stream his stuff, and vice versa.
Cheers.

I have two computers running Serviio. I use one for testing, and the other for main use. I've had as many as three at one time. There's no issue with more than one on the same network. Any device on the network would be able to play from any of them. However, you won't have a single connection show everything from every machine. You will just see them as separate sources on your player.
It would also be possible to access the MediaBrowser on multiple computers from the Internet if your router allows advanced port forwarding. I've seen some that don't allow changing the port number from outside to inside the network, and that would not allow access to more than one from the outside. Others allow such a changes, and you could then use multiple computer's MediaBrowser from the outside.
