Cannot instal 1.5.2

I am trying to install 1.5.2 on a Windows 8.1 machine anf=d get the following error
No JVM could be found on your system.
Please define EXE4J_JAVA_HOME
to point to an installed 32-bit JDK or JRE or download a JRE from
www.java.com.
I have Java version 8 update 40 (build 1.8.0_40-b26) installed
I did not have this problem installing 1.5.1 what do i need to do rectify this problem?

I believe beginning with Serviio 1.5, it uses a self-contained Java environment and doesn't rely on any other Java on your computer. Judging by the size of the install file, I think that's the right version of the changeover.
Now, why isn't Serviio finding it? I suggest you uninstall Serviio, reboot, then re-run the install as an administrator. I know, your user account likely has admin rights, but sometimes that isn't enough. Right-click on the install file and select "Run as Administrator".

Thanks for that I got serviio up and running, however it cannot see the TV, I have rebooted the PC and TV but not sure what else I should do. Any help appreciated.

You can try to clean the device list on serviio console, then make a refresh.
Same on your TV (if possible), clean server list, then refresh it.

Turned TV on just now and it has appeared in the device list but TV is not showing Serviio have I have delete all the servers and refreshed the list. I have a Sony KDL 40NX723
OK got the TV to see Serviio by starting and stopping the Serviio service and the same with the server and refreshing the server list on the TV
