Problem with WMV files, "File may not play correctly"

I am running v1.5.2 Serviio on Win 8.1 against a Samsung UA55F7100 TV. I now have a serious problem with my WMV files.
When I select a WMV file on the TV, a message box pops up with "This file may not play correctly [OK] [Stop]" and then the file plays OK. So far all files have played
without any problems for either audio or video. However, the advance/backup buttons on my remote (single arrow forward/back) flash a textbox
with "Not Available" at the bottom of the screen and are ignored. I need to be able to fast navigate using these functions. That's a "must have" for me.
This is new behavior for WMV's as they always worked without problems before. I swapped the ffmpeg.exe from my Applian and then from the Vuze directories to see if that was causing the problem
but they made no difference - and the videos still play OK.
When I run the Vuze media server, all my WMV files play without any of this stuff popping up or my navigation being blocked.
Questions:
------------
1. Is Serviio or the Win 8.1 latest patches causing the problem? I installed them at about the same time. Is this some kind of new DRM bullshit from MS?
2. If it is Serviio, how can I stop it from "helping" me and just playing my files without interference?
3. Has anyone else experienced this and have they found a solution or work-around?
Thank you for your help.
