Hello I think this would be nice to have a profile the the french Freebox revolution player.
Though I am not sure what a profile is used to.
Does it define what formats are known by the player ? and thus transcoding automatically what is not known ?
any way if someone can help me define a neww profile I would be glad to test it.
here are the supported formats of the Freeebox revolution player.
video codecs
- H.264 ;
- MPEG2 ;
- MS-MPEG4 (DivX 3) ;
- MPEG4 (DivX 4, DivX 5, DivX 6, Xvid) ;
- VC1.
audio codecs
en decode :
- AAC, ;
- M Dolby Digital (downmix 2.0) ;
- Dolby Digital Plus(downmix 2.0)
- DTS core (downmix 2.0) ;
- FLAC ;
- MP2 ;
- MP3 ;
- Vorbis.
containers
- AU ;
- AVI ;
- FLV ;
- Matroska ;
- MOV ;
- MP4 ;
- MPEG-PS ;
- MPEG-TS ;
- OGG ;
- WAV.
Thanks.
SeB.

Looks like it plays almost everything. Try the Generic DLNA profile and report if you find any files that you cannot play.

WIth the same client (freebox revolution), all online video are shown as pictures.
I tried feeds from dailymotion, youtube ( with the plugin) and also direct feed (like this one)
http://feeds.twit.tv/photo_video_largeWith another client (like buble pnp on an android phone), there is no problem with those feeds.
Any idea what can cause that?

Hello, I'm using Serviio through my Freebox Revolution (Generic DLNA Profile).
All is working fine (much better than PS3 media player). But i can't find the way to display srt (which are working with PS3 media player).
Is there a way to fix that ?
Thx,
Yann

Probably because PS3MS burned srt into the video, not supported yet by serviio.
Serviio support external srt file, does Freebox support this ?

Sorry to dig out this post, but i have the same problem with Freebox revolution : all kind of files play well with the generic DLNA profile but srt.
Yet, Freebox support external srt files. Does anybody have a clue how to adapt the profile, please ?

Generic Profile does not support external srt file.
You can edit profiles.xml file and add this profile:
<Profile id="test" name="Freebox Revolution" extendsProfileId="1">
<SubtitlesMimeType>text/srt</SubtitlesMimeType>
</Profile>

HI cadrach,
Could you confirm what is your model, Freebox, or Freebox Revolution ?
What is the profile used? Could post here the profile section used ?
Thanks, If its ok, I will ask ZIP to add the profile for next release.
