No "Title" metadata for MP3 files

Hello,

I had this issue with Serviio 1.4.1.2, so I installed 1.5.2, but it's still there: If I look at my mp3 audio files in the Serviio media browser, in a software player (like foobar2000), or on a hardware player (like Pioneer N-50), there's always displayed the whole file name (i.e. including .mp3) for the MP3 Tag "Title". Tags like "Album" or "Artist" are fine. The clients mentioned above (except media browser of course) show the correct mp3 title-tag for the file when displaying it through other sources than Serviio (like USB for hardware, browse folder for software).

Any ideas? I can't see any errors in the log, not even with DEBUG enabled!

Thanks,
SH

I have an update: This issue occurs only when browsing "Folders". To reproduce, open Serviio MediaBrowser, select Audio -> Folders, then browse to any folder containing mp3 files. You can use any other client if you don't have MediaBrowser.
If you select any other item than "Folders", e.g. "Albums", the mp3 titles will display correctly!

Yes this is normal and by design. The Folders view is designed to be a raw view ie. to display the music by the file name. All other views use metadata contained within the file (Title, Album, Artist, etc) to display the media.

The Titles view will list all music by Title.

Is this really by design? That's bad, I always browse to the music I want to listen to via "Folders". Anyway, thanks for the clarification.
