Hi

First of all, thank you so much for giving us this amazing DLNA server application.

Now going to my question. If I play anything from my flashdrive, then I stop anywhere during the movie, turn off the tv, then turn it back on later on and try to play the movie the TV asks me whether I wish to resume the playback from the stopped position or to restart it from the beginning. That would tell me that the TV supports the "Resume from position" feature. Unfortunetly when I try to do the same with Serviio it works only as long as I quit the movie and stay on the "select a movie" screen. If I then try to play the movie again it asks me whether I want to resume or restart. If I leave that screen however, or exit the media server or turn the tv off and later on try to play the same movie the option is gone.

Is there some setting which I can enable that will give me the full "Resume" feature?

Lucas

The resume functiion, and how it works for USBs or a Media Server,is done by the TV itself not by Serviio. Unfortunately it's not uncommon for behaviour in one sub-system (USB) to be different than another (DLNA) within a TV.

So unfortunately not something Serviio can control, and therefore no settings for it within Serviio. You may find a setting in your TV (I doubt it, havent seen anything like that on my TVs).

Thanks a lot for an answer. Well too bad, I thought that maybe there is some way like with Samsung Tv's:

but if there is not then nothing can be done about it I guess.
