Windows 10 No Console

I run Windows 10 x64 Pro and stream to a WDTV Live. I am using Serviio v1.5.2. I reported in another thread that this worked flawlessly on Windows 7 x64 Pro

Two instances of ServiioService.exe (32 bit) show in Task Manager Processes. Serviio Console(2).exe is listed in Task Manager Startup. Serviio is running as a service.

However, I've no icon in the system tray and launching the console from the start menu does nothing. I've tried to launch the console from it's folder without success. Thus I've no way to register or configure the software.

I don't use a password on my PC and disabled policy "Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console logon only". I've attached a log file.

Help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Couple of options.

See if there's an instance of the console already running in Task Manager. I've on occasion found it was running without showing in the notification area, and you can't start a 2nd instance. If it's there, then kill it and start it again. It will likely show up now. If that works, remove the Console from your startup folder and wait to start it until the computer has finished booting and logging in.

You can install the console only on a different computer. Run the install, select custom and only install the console. Then follow these instructions to configure before starting it: http://serviio.org/component/content/article?id=21#q2

Thanks for responding atc,

There are two instances of ServiioService.exe (32 bit) running as processes. Under the Processes tab the Serviio console is not running. Under the Services tab it simply reports "Serviio" is running. I tried to run Serviio Console from the Program folder but nothing happens. I tried to launch it from the Startup folder and it says shortcut refers to a link that does not exist.

I only have one PC therefore I'm unable to install the console on another machine.

It looks like it's trying to apply XP skin. Do you have some specific Windows 10 skin setup? Or just the default setting?

I apologize for the delay in my response.

I have installed UltraUX Theme Patcher and Ubuntu Dark Theme For Windows found here:

Beauty is it not? No more blinding white windows on a 42" TV.

It's unfortunate that this skin conflicts with Serviio. Regardless I thank you for identifying the problem.
