ServiioService (32 bit) 99% cpu usage

Hello, serviio 1.5.2 needs 99% cpu after some time.

I've added only local library's, no online resources, no metadata, no thumbnail creation and no transcoding.

PC:
Windows 10 Home
Intel Pentium G3450
4 GB RAM

Someone got an idea? I also attach the debug output below.

Has it finished adding all your files to the library? It may take hours if you have huge libraries.

Hi,

I also have Windows 10 (new PC and install) and ServiioService semes to suddenly ramp up from near 0 to 60-70% CPU usage and stay there for hours+. There are also two processes with this name, one of which is completely idle. I have not added any new files, I'm not accessing any media (directly or via streaming) and I have disabled any auto refresh of the media directory. I have also disabled looking up of media/DVD covers etc - so there should be no searching the internet for any other data. I also stopped the Serviio service and restarted it. That fixes the problem for awhile (sometimes hours) but then it will start up again for no reason I can see. I installed Serviio a few days ago and it did the initial scan then - nothing has been added since, so it should not be doing anything (well, certainly nothing that requires so many CPU cycles). I don't think the log file wil be useful (but I have attached last fragement, after server restart)... it shows no activity for the last three hours, even though ServiioService has been running full blast. It started running by itself about an hour afer the last entry in the log file - so whatever its is doing is not being logged. Any ideas what this could be? I have disabled windows media streaming (the service is off). I don't see ffmpeg running either, unless its within a svchost process which doesn't show up under task manager.

Thanks,
Patrick

Hello,

OK, I enabaled detailed logging - attached. The initial connection errors were from me shutting down the service yesterday, but I restarted itlater. When I started it this morning, stayed at almost 0 % for a long time, but I went out for a few hours and now that I have returned I see It's back to 70% CPU again although I'm not streaming anything and no new media have be added. I started it at 7.34AM or thereabouts and it was fine (very low/no CPU) until ar least 8.30AM or so when I went out. So something started up after then, but I see nothing different in the log file after that point.

I am using Windows 10 enterprise, if that is useful. I have also dissabled windows media streaming and this is the only DLNA servive on my local home network.

Thanks,
Patrick

There is indeed nothing happening, so I have no idea what causes the CPU usage. It could be the garbage collector java process, but that shouldn't take more than 2 seconds each time.

Ok, thanks for looking. Guess I'll have to uninstall and try and revert to Samsung's link tool.
