SOLVED: Unable to stream, something to do with NAS rights

W7 and W10 PCs.
Sony Blu-ray Disc™ / DVD Player BDP-S370/BX37
WD MyCloud
The folder on the WD that I want to stream (Movies) has Public Access
Both laptops have the shared folder in Serviio as \\HiNDERSMYCLOUD\Movies (not mapped)
The W7 PC has no issue. The user for W7 is UN1 (with a PW). The WD has UN1, different PW.
The W10 PC has UN2 (no PW) , using the FAQ, I set the service to work with the UN2 and no PW, and I set the Serviio service to have the W10 UN2. No errors reported.
The W10 PC does not scan the files. When I access the server from the Sony BR, it says “no playable files”
I read that Servii must have the same access as the pc.
“To access a NAS device the exact same set of credentials must be created on the NAS device. The Windows credentials must be a local user and not a domain user. The user must have "Run As Service" rights. The remote path must be entered as a UNC path in the Serviio Console (e.g. \\server\folder)), mapped drive letters will not work since the user running the Serviio service is not aware of your mapped drives.”
Here is what I did:
On both machines I removed all mapped drives.
On the WD I changed the root / admin user name from UN1/ to UN2
The Movies dir is public (no pw), I checked all folders to ensure that UN2 was listed, and that there was no entry for UN1
I checked to make sure that the WD log in was now UN2 and it worked
On the W10 machine, I checked / changed the Windows credentials for the WD from UN1 to UN2
On the W7 machine, I checked / changed the Windows credentials for the WD from UN1 to UN2
I re-mapped to some drives (some public, some PW).
The W7 pc still works, if I add a file to the Movies directory and force a refresh …and the files continue to play on the Sony BR
The W10 pc…..still does not, if I add a file or try to play from the Sony ….
Is there something else I need to do?
