Hi,
Title says all. After installing Serviio worked nicely, was detected by TV, but after exit Serviio and relaunch it never works again. Already tried reboot, uninstall and reinstall 3 times, nothing works! It always behave the same.
I'm running Windows 7 Home 64bit.
Thanks.

Are you running a static IP address on your Serviio computer? If not, I suggest you do. It sounds like the computer's IP address changed and Serviio is looking for the previous one. Check your current IP address, then look on the Serviio console to see what IP address is listed.

Hi,
Static IP is not possible because I connect to several networks, and they all have different IP tables (192.1.x.x, 192.168.x.x, 10.0.x.x)..
Anyway, although dynamic, in my home network my IP is constantly 192.1.2.167. I do not believe this is the issue. More, Serviio stops working as soon as I exit Serviio and re-launch, without changing networks in the process.
Thanks.

Can you confirm that Serviio itself stops, as in the service won't run, or do you mean that the service is running but your players don't see it?
How do you connect to multiple networks? With multiple network cards? If so, Serviio may be binding to the wrong one. Again, look at the console on the Status tab and look for the Network Settings box. If it says "Automatically Detected", then change it to the 192.1.x.x address. You may need to restart the service to pick up the correct NIC. Never use Auto Detect with multiple IP addresses.

I think you're misunderstanding my English in many different ways..
Listen, I install Serviio, it runs perfectly. I right click tray icon and select Exit Serviio, then I go to programs and relaunch Serviio Console, it doesn't work anymore. I reboot, same thing. I see my laptop and my TV in status, but my TV doesn't see Serviio server.
I do not use multiple cards, I just use my laptop at my home, my work, my moms house, my girls house, etc.. The issue is not multiple IP's.

You need to enable Debug logging and post the log so we can see what Serviio is doing and failing at.

Thank you. Yes, I did misunderstand. Sorry. Please do as jhb50 suggests so we can see what's happening.

If I understand what you are doing, then when you select "Exit Serviio" you are exiting both the Serviio Console
and the Serviio Server service. Restarting the Console does not restart the Serviio Server service (rebooting does, which is why that works). Think of them as two distinct processes.
You will need to restart the Serviio Server service before starting the console. You can do so by either by using the batch file provided with Serviio - sorry not at home now so cant recall what that is called but it should be in your start menu under Serviio (run the batch file as an Administrator) or via services.msc and restart the Serviio service. (... or use WinHelper, see signature

)

I see how misunderstood my last post, but my first post clearly states reboot doesn't help.

Start/stop Serviio service batch files also don't work. And there's no need to run them manually as I'm pretty sure that's what Start/stop server buttons in Serviio console do..
I will run log file and post it later on today.
Thanks to everyone for getting involved.

I'm pretty sure that's what Start/stop server buttons in Serviio console do..
Nope. That button does not start or stop the Serviio
service, just effectively suspends the server.
Shall await the
detailed log.

Mine does exactly the same, i have enabled debugging and can report back later when i restart and starts and stops the service, I have to reboot the entire machine and network after 1 launch to the browser, nothing is working.. First time user. I also created my own topic with similar problem.
