1.6.1 does not allow NAS to be selected!!!

Further to my previous report, I have tried to install 1.6.1 on my 2nd Windows 10 system and again it will not allow me to select my library which is stored on a WDMyCloud NAS. I am currently running 1.5.x Serviio on this system using that NAS for the library.

What can I do to force (urge, coax) Serviio 1.6.1 to allow this NAS to be the source? See attached pics.

Have you tried entering the NAS address directly?

Before you get to the screen shown in your post, do not press the Browse button. Rather, simply enter the NAS address into the text box to the left of the browse button ie. enter \\WDMYCLOUD\Public\Shared Books (if you click on the address bar in Windows Explorer as you show in the first picture in your post, it will give you the correct string to enter - just copy and paste it)

I tried that, and initially it looks good (no errors when you SAVE) but after a few seconds and upon re-entering that Library page you see a (!) flag in the entry. Hover over that flag and this is the message: "This folder is not currently available or cannot be read" message. See the attachment for the Library page.

That then suggests a permissions issue. What user is the Serviio Service running as?

Yes, it was permissions. Strange, though, that I did change the permissions when I first installed 1.6.1 and it didn't work. On that second system the permissions works and when I went back and reinstalled 1.6.1 on the first system it worked!?! Must have been finger trouble.

All is now well.

I love the new user interface. Very slick and friendly.
