Configuration
----------------
- Streaming a video by
VLC over http:// port 8080
- Playing this stream via 2. nd VLC instance on PC with
http://127.0.0.1:8080 works fine
- Serviio Online sources set to Video, Life Stream,
http://127.0.0.1:8080 (localhost)
- Checking stream URL: source available and working
On the Smart TV message "No video content on this device"
This works:
- VLC
Audio online streaming on TV works
- Library Shared folders streaming on TV works fine
Any help to this?

Hi, thank you.
There is one ffmpeg.exe in serviio/lib.

Streaming a mp4 file running

- ffmpeg running.png (11.92 KiB) Viewed 10821 times
Streaming running, with address of PC 192.168.178.20 instead of 127.0.0.1

Ok, so you will have to use the computer IP. Does that work?

Same.
But how it can work when missing a parameter?
The red ffmpeg message saying "at least one output file must be specified"
Or something should be set in VLC, although it works on the host.

Ignore the red ffmpeg message.
Post your
detailed log of Serviio startup and browsing to the online folder.

What means browsing to the online (?) folder? You man online source.
Addendum
------------
As to start debugging I first wanted to delete the content of the log file, but cannot save it. Saying
"cannot create file serviio.log, make sure that the path and filename are correct"
Trying to delete logfile itself results in "cannot delete serviio, it is being used by another program"
What program? Server is NOT running, Console NOT active.
So I attach the debug logfile as it is, see the last part.
Server stopped
log4j changed INFO to DEBUG, started server
VLC streaming a video
Tryed to get it on TV - same like usually, "no content"

You didn't restart the service. Try to restart the whole PC. There should be a lot of DEBUG statements in the log file.

Yes, a lot of DEBUG's.
1. INFO set to DEBUG
2. restarted PC
3. started a local stream
4. On TV went to Serviio video / online
5. no Serviio icon, right away saying "no content on this device" (in German)
As I said, the same procedure with an audio file works.

What if you swap to something like DirectTv profile?

Click on the Edit button next to your TV and then you can select a different profile for it.

Same - doesnt work. If it is profile issue, it would not work playing a shared folder either.
Maybe it is a VLC video streaming issue.
Can you give me some kind of video streaming link for test? Just like I can stream internet radio links online with serviio.
