Varpes Trojan alert

I am struggling to get Serviio to work with my Sony Bravia TV since upgrading to Win10. This seems to be a not-uncommon problem; I have seen several suggestions about opening ports - and that a re-installation of Serviio might fix the problem. (The TV simply does not see Serviio at all)
So, just attempted to install the latest version of Serviio (having remove the previous one and rebooted).
Windows Defender immediately blew a 'serious alert': Trojan: Win32/Varpes.M!cl for file C:\Program Files\Serviio\bin\ServiioService.exe

I am assuming (hoping!) this is a false detection. Is it a 'known problem' and what is the best course of action to resolve this and the original problem?

I've done installs on Windows 10 and 7, all using Windows Defender. I've never been alerted to a potential virus. I'd suggest downloading Serviio again, and I'm assuming you've downloaded it directly from this web site. Don't use any 3rd party download sites.

The file that seemed to cause a problem was : serviio-1.7.1-win-setup, which I am pretty certain I downloaded from the Serviio page.
That said, I have just downloaded serviio-1.7.1.1-win-setup and it does not seem to have caused Windows Defender to alert - thankfully!

Tomorrow I will have to see if I can persuade my Sony Bravia TV to see it. It all worked OK under Win7, but to date I have completely failed under Win10.
