Serviio

These are all tested and work fine on my PC, but once over via Ethernet to my DISH Hopper and then TV, playing some videos gets only the audio. The thumbnails show fine in the video folder view. Then, as a test, going on to the next video file will get both A+V.

This is a h265 video file. Which profile are you using?

In the Console it says:
XiP813 Hopper
Generic DNLA profile

I see now you have a profile for DirecTV HD-DVR, but no DISH Hopper. This DTV may be closer to my Hopper than say Samsung, Sony, etc. Maybe I should try the DTV profile?

As for h265, maybe I need to educate myself, I know nothing about that. I have many converter programs, maybe I can find something to change this? Is h265 incompatible? If so, how do I avoid downloading h265?

about the h265 question, this video was originally an .mkv h265 which I was worried the mkv wouldn't play, so I converted it to mp4. Could that be a clue? For me, the clueless? But the original mkv has the same problem, no video on TV, only works on PC.

h265 is quite a new video codec, so perpahs your hardware cannot play it. H264 should be supported.

You can try the DirecTV profile, it'll transcode almost everything.

Thanks zip, changed over to the DirecTV profile, tested fine on 3 videos.

I had to rebuild my Serviio and now I can't remember how to get the DirecTV profile.

Status tab on the console, select Edit on the device in question, then click the Profile box and select DirecTV from the dropdown list.
