DirecTV? help before signing up Please

I'm thinking of getting DirecTV next and one crucial factor is how well Serviio works with it. I can't go directly from my router to the old non-wifi 2007 RPTV,. I know there's a Serviio profile for DTV. I'd be piping my Serviio via Wifi, don't know which DTV receivers have my preferred ethernet. DTV calls their system "Media Share" and their web site specifies which receivers do Media Share. Attached is the receiver list. Their Genie is notably not on the list, but it may be another name or the list could be outdated. Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions? :?

The DTV "Genie" DVR does the media thing, the DLNA thing, very generally speaking. Can anyone here comment on how well it works with Serviio?

I have the genie dvr and minis throughout my house and have never tried to use them with dlna or serviio. Just use chromecast or roku or something known to work.

With only one HDMI input on the TV, so no native input, should I get a splitter? For other reasons I'm resisting a new TV.
