Please help me in my case.
I installed serviio 1.8 on ubuntu 16.04.
Works fine, i can start http console, add folders. But when i click status i see nothing - any of my devices - i attached screen.

So i installed serviio 1.8 on my PC and try to access my ubuntu server from Serviio console program. I add to ServiioService.exe.vmoptions file on windows:

-Dserviio.remoteHost=192.168.x.x
-Xmx512m

But when i start console program on windows i receive:cannot connect to the serve, it doesn't seem to be running

So maybe it is not possible to run standard console to remote server - only http console?

blem solved - it was Chrome issue - i used Opera and works fine.

But please let me know if can i access Serviio on Ubuntu from windows program Serviio console when i point remote server?

Not from the console executable. You can still access it via a browser (and use the remote IP address).
