Trying out Serviio again here (coming from Homestream) and I was curious when viewing your videos on your DLNA device (in my case Sony Blueray player that is connected to my TV) why don't the video viles show up as thumbnails of the video? Instead it just shows as a video file (standard thumbnail) with no picture attached to it as you normally see on Windows. I have show video thumbnails selected but it still doesn't show them...same thing with Homstream...always wondered why this works like this?

probably the bluray cant handle them, mine doesn't show them either, it's too old school.
If you use serviio pro it comes with mediabrowser and you can see all thumbnails on your phone and use it as a remote, don't even need to use the bluray menu.

Yeah, it's the Sony. My various Sony players have never shown thumbnails, although I believe the game players (PS3, etc.) do show them.
My Samsung and Panasonic TVs both show them, as do the Roku players.

Yea I guess that could be the case, when I stream with VLC mobile app on my iPhone with Homestream, thumbnails show, so I guess it is the Blueray player. I have two Sony BDP-S570's, which are rather old and outdated I guess with regards to the DLNA. Oh well, at least I can stop going crazy now trying to figure out what I was doing wrong lol BTW, Serviio still won't play half of my media, yet Homestream plays every single file I have, can't figure it out for the life of me! These software programs are so fickle...
