Good morning,
I would like to know if it is possible, using the Serviio settings, to restart with the videos from the point where they were stopped the previous time.
With the "old" Samsung TV that I had and from which I watched movies through Serviio this function was active while now with my new Sony i see it always start again from the beginning.
Is it something that depends on the TV or the application?
Can I solve it in any way?
Thanks so much.

It is dependent on the TV, as well as if it's being transcoded. The only transcoding format that I am aware of that allows this is using HLS (applehttp). Very few profiles use this, as HLS doesn't support multi-channel audio. Most profiles use the TS container and H.264 as the video codec, and this doesn't permit any sort of trick play (FF, rewind or resume). But even with HLS, your player must also support it. The most reliable player I have for being able to resume playback is the Shield. It never requires transcoding for any of my media. The Roku players will resume as long as the file isn't transcoded. My Sony BD player will never resume.

Sony's don't support it, afaik. Samsung does.
