Serviio

I am new to Serviio and am having some challenges getting it working. With a smaller (20K) library of images, it appears fine and stable. As I increase this to perhaps 50K to 100K, I start to experience crashes (DBConnectionPool errors with Derby, too many files open on the socket). Are there any guidelines to tuning? I'm using the latest version with Fedora 29, Java 1.8. I have about 400K of images to add.
