How to improve subtitle matching

I need help with the usage of online subtitles.
Some movies and seasons seem to be correct, but for the most of them serviio find subtitles but for other files of the same content - obviously with different/wrong timings.

Tried to help serviio with IMDB-ID and exactly the same filename as I found on opensubtitles.org (by searching myself with browser). Unfortunately without better results.

How does it work?
What can I do to improve subtitle matching?

it tries to find an exact match by the file has first. so you migh be able to provide movie hash to opensubtitles.org for future match.
Otherwise it uses imdbID + language code

Thanks for your reply.
And how to provide file hash to opensubtitle.org?

Seems to be confusing:
How does imbd-id help to identifiy the right subtitle if there are more than one version/file listed for the same movie?

ah yes, it searches by imdb + language and then filters out those that don't match FPS of your video. Then it gets the one with most downloads.
You should see some search results once you enable detailed log

OK, detailed log gives me what i guessed before. It catches the wrong subtitle because nearly every subtitle in opensubtitles.org comes with 23.984 fps and "matches" the framerate of my videofile.
If it's a subtitle for an file with diffrent length (e. g. without 'previously on ...') the subtitle would "match" technically but not really.

But seems to be a gerenal problem.
I faced this issue with Plex and Kodi, too.

Needs to be improved, but not by you.
For me, I will get matching SRT files manually and put them in the right directory of my movie. So serviio gets them and everything is fine.
