directory is empty

Hi - from Android (VLC) I don't seem to be able to see the video files I have on my serviio server. It works fine from Windows (VLC), but for some reason on Android I just see "directory is empty" when I try to look in the various "Titles" or "Series" folders for instance. About the only folder which I can see the video files is "Last Added" - or if I drill-down from a folder called "Folders".

Is there a workaround for this issue?

I am not actually sure where these folders come from. I suspect they are "virtual" folders created by Serviio?

Thanks.

Re: directory is empty

They don't appear if the player and Serviio believe they can't be played. It's possible that Serviio has assigned the wrong profile to your Android device. For VLC, I believe it should just be the generic profile, but I could be mistaken. When you browse the Folders, you see what's there regardless if Serviio believes it can be played. That's why you see them there.

OK, thanks for the reply. The files can all be played (most are "mkv" files, but there are other types too, all of which I can actually play) - VLC does often give me a message saying it needs to convert (it uses another word, but I can't remember what it is) on the fly. The profile in Serviio is "generic".
Oh well, I'll just live with it the way it is.
Thanks.
