I set up my boxee box without transcoding cause I can read all the files there. All I need is working good. I can see the internal subs for example inside a MKV, but when is external named with the same name of the movie and it's an .srt file I can't see there. I have the subtitles option activated and I read in the web the server allows .srt external so idk what happen.

it's likely the box doesn't support external subtitles via DLNA

that's different. embedded subs might be supported, but not the external ones.

You'd have to enable burning-in subtitles in the console, which will trigger transcoding.

I have disabled the transcoding section cause with my boxee i can read all. But I have activated all the subs stuff. Must be activated the general transcoding to work external subtitles?

As stated before, if your Boxee Box doesn't support external subtitles via DLNA, which seems to be the case, you have to enable burning-in subtitles to get external subtitles working.
Cheers.

okey works. The files appear when they have subs as 8.2 GB. And when is largest file is very slow charging but more light files works better. This transcoding when the movie finishes save some temporal files in the computer? And the option of opensubtitles would work in the boxee? you know that?
