Serviio 2.0 Playlist refresh problems on Mac

I am seeing multiple problems with the handling of Audio Playlists for Serviio 2.0 on Mac.
I've tried many of the suggestions noted in other similar threads, including a complete removal of all Serviio files and fresh reinstall.
From the Log file:
Serviio DLNA media streaming server v 2.0 (rev. 2dd498f22a77)
Java 1.8.0_191-Oracle Corporation x86_64
OS Mac OS X 10.14.5

I have the Serviio "poller mechanism" turned on and use Force Refresh.
Observations are consistent across multiple players.

From the log file, the messages that catches my eye are the consistent "Finished" before "Started -!!
2019-06-24 12:15:08,872 INFO [PlaylistMaintainerWorker] Finished looking for playlist changes
2019-06-24 12:15:09,047 INFO [PlaylistMaintainerWorker] Started looking for playlist changes

If I add a new playlist (m3u file exported from iTunes), it is noted by Serviio, but not actually 'broadcast', for example
2019-06-24 11:37:30,295 INFO [PlaylistFileIndexer] Added playlist 'A_Sea_Cellos.m3u' (title: A_Sea_Cellos) to Library
No error messages but the playlist never shows up on the player.

If I modify a Playlist (e.g. add a new file), the changes aren't picked up.

Some Playlists only broadcast a partial list of files.

Guidance would be appreciated.

Did you also add the shared folder with the music files included in the playlist? Otherwise Serviio will not know about them.

In any case, the playlist should still show under the Playlists category (albeit empty)

Thank you for the follow up.

Yes, I have shared my iTunes Music folder, and contents of this can be seen on players.

No problem with empty Playlists, new ones just do not show up at all.

Best,
Adrian

Did you create some Users in Serviio? If yes, did you assigned them to the renderers / folders?

Ideally a debug log of when you try to list the playlists in the Renderer would be helpful.

- I have not created Users in Serviio. Should I be using this feature?
- My original log file (from which I copied notes in previous post) is too big to post. I've started a new file attached.

you need to enable detailed logging. there should be a lot of DEBUG statements. then browse to the playlist category and post the log (you might have to zip it up)
