USB drive not recognized in Mac OS Catalina
Hi, I have version 1.10, and everything works fine on my mac (with the Catalina operating system), but the external hard drives are not recognizable, why? With all the other DLNA servers I have no problem, they all recognize me external hard drives but no, what is the service? Any way that my external hard drives appear in VOLUMES ?. A greeting.

Serviio is not working for me on Catalina, I see an Sandbox error in the Console logs? Anyone know a workaround for this issue?

Which one? USB drive or console error? In any case, some more details like screen shots and logs would help.

Same problem for me.
Serviio does not recognize usb-drives:

Actually I've found a solution - just grant full disk access to java process in macOs settings:

Anyway, It will be great if Serviio app ask a permission when starts first time

Great, thanks for posting this. I'm not sure if it's a problem of the os beta that might be fixed later. So for now this workaround is fine and I will look into it again when the full release is out and the problem persists.

Thanks for that.
I want to upgrade today and trying to "put myself away from the rainy day".
I have opened the preferences Full Disk Access in Mojave and didn't find any process called "java".
I have found "java" in system processes in Activity Monitor, but did found how to put it into the Full Disk Access.
How did you do so?

Grant full disk access to Java worked for me.
Both for USB drives AND the Downloads directory (as per
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=25608&p=124214#p124214)

I've added a

https://serviio.org/index.php?option=co ... &id=21#q21Looks like the Full Disk Ac cess is the only solution, because the Serviio server runs as a background process (and not an app), so that the OS cannot ask to give the less restrictive permissions.
In any case, this gives the access to the Serviio java binary, not your system java (so at least a bit less open then first thought)
