90% of video files dont work on ps4, work on ps3

Is there a new/updated profile for the PS4?

I get the 'cant play media' error when i try to open most things
I was on the latest 1.* version of serviio, tried updating to the latest 2.* but the problem remains

I can see everything and browse everything. see the thumbnails etc. It just wont play most things like old avis etc. But will play m4vs

everything works fine on the ps3 sitting next to it

The same question, I have problems with the video on PS4, any tips?

As far as I understand, it is impossible to get any intelligible answers, well, you have to search the Internet in a little more detail, I will find you will write right away. UPD: I tried different profiles, it didn’t help much, but then I got inside the problem itself and realized that there weren’t enough video codecs for normal video playback there, I used a video converter (I don’t know if anyone is suitable, I took the first online https://www.videoconverter.com) transcoded into a format that PS4 understands (just look in the files which video formats it plays exactly and then it worked. I don’t know how, but somehow through the backside.

My first suggestion is to try different profiles, to see if you can identify any files that will play. I don't have a PS4, so can't test anything myself. But we need to see what will play and go from there.

In fact, you might try assigning the generic profile first and test that. It does no transcoding, so we can see if anything works there. Once that's been identified, then we can look at what doesn't play, using the methods contained in my sig link to retrieve the media contents.
