Many (most) players can't open a URL, it needs to be a playable file. URLs are normally a web resource, and depending on the site might need a plug-in to work.

Where is this URL coming from? Is it in a playlist? Have you tried entering the URL as an Online Resource? It's hard to say if it will work as a Web Resource, or if might be an RSS type feed. You'd have to experiment. See this page for more detail about configuring online resources: https://www.serviio.org/index.php?optio ... icle&id=42

It's a URL to a RTSP site. ;)

I'm not familiar enough with the way online sources work, so I'll have to let Zip or someone else more knowledgeable assist with this. :)
