I noticed that when I finished using Serviio it remains active in the background processes and does not free the files related to the films used. I can't find an option to close it completely.

Can you help me?

Thanks in advance

Serviio has two separate functions. One is the DLNA server, which can be shut down on the console at the bottom of the status page. The other is the Serviio service that runs full time in the background. The service is what maintains the database and library. The only way to shut that down is to stop the service. In Windows, there's two ways to do that. One is to use the Services applet, and the other is from the command line. The command line function could also be saved in a batch file to run as well.

There's really no impact to leaving the service running, as it does nothing unless you add or remove files from your library folders.
