I discovered I had a Series called Mission X in my Media sever.
So I troed to find where the files were, so I could delete them.

However, nothing obvious shows up???!!!?!?!

Is there a wasy to find the actual video file from knowing the series/episode name?

From Serviio? No, there's no way I have found. Since I have Plex installed on the same computer, and it does offer file information, that's what I use if I can't find the file. Why do I have Plex? Because when I travel I take a Roku player with me and it can connect to my Plex server through the hotel WiFi. Easier than messing with MediaBrowser when I just want to lie on the bed and watch something. But I never touch Plex on my home network, as I far prefer using Serviio to feed my various players at home.

Freaknik, what is that all about?

For the OP, you might be able to determine the file name/location by digging though the Serviio log. I just looked at mine and it does identify when new files are added

Added file 'E:\Video_3\In Old Chicago (1938).mkv' (title: In Old Chicago) to Library

So do a search for Mission X and see if you can find the line that adds the file. More than likely it's mis-identified some other title with that name.

I think Freaknik was smoking his left nose thru his arse...

Re my Q, I could NOT find the string Mission X in the log files.

Has your log file rolled over, meaning that there's more than one serviio.xxx file in that folder? Serviio starts a fresh log at 5 MB size, and renames the .txt to a number. Those other files are still text files, and you can look through them as well. That string should be in one of them.

Of course I knew that, and I checked ALL log files.
Problem with Mission X disappeared, it was an error in looking up metadata on thetvdb.

Finding the media file from the browser entry name is still interesting.
