Genres not appearing in media browser

Hi there: I have Serviio installed on a QNAP NAS and it all appears to be working fine. The Album Artists screens shows all the files seemingly, but when I try to look at genres, I see nothing. I know there is genre metadata stored here. Thanks.

I only have some music on my test server, so I just took a look and genre is populated in mine. Almost all of my music is MP3, with a small handful of M4A tracks. When I click on one of the tracks in Windows Explorer, I see the metadata contained within the file. and they include genre as one of the tags. I do see that some of my files don't have cover art embedded, but they all seem to have the genre tag. Actually, I did find five tracks that didn't have the genre entered, but they were all grouped in the Unknown category. Still using Windows Explorer, I entered the genre for those five and they all instantly appeared in the correct genre.

In the Serviio console, I have genres set to "Display category". Is yours the same?

My Genres work fine and always have.
Most of my files are flac but I have a few of various other types.
As Dan suggests check Presentation/Audio/genres is set to "Display Category.
(if it were set to "Disable" it would not normally appear as an access option but check it is "Display Category".

Then check that the metadata field label on your files is "Genre" using a tool such as dbpoweramp "Edit id-tag".
(I have seem some rips/files with metadata field label "Comments" instead of "Comment" which does not then display properly as a description).

P.S. What version of Serviio are you on?
Also what type of files do you have? Are they all .wav by any chance?
