Auto library refresh?

Does the Serviio Console have to be open for the libraries to automatically refresh?

I ask because none of my libraries (all of which are local folders on my PC (Windows 10) refresh unless the console is open. Also, I do have the "Keep library automatically updated" option turned on.

Thanks.

Re: Auto library refresh?

No, that's not a requirement. However, for whatever reason not all computers report to Serviio when a file's been added to a folder. There's a setting in the Shared Folder settings of the Serviio Console. Open up one of your library locations to edit, and you'll see a check box labeled "Use the poller mechanism for monitoring this folder". Check that box for all of your shared folders, and don't forget to click Save on the bottom of the screen when you've done them all. That should take care of ensuring your updates appear soon after you add them.
