Presentation and help request (Serviio & Acestream to TV)

Hi all,
This is my first message here, so I say hello to everybody.

TV: Panasonic Viera TX50CX700E
OS: Windows 10 Pro 20H2
SERVIIO PRO 1.8 (free) and also tried with 2.1

I've been using Serviio to watch acestream on my Panasonic Viera TX50CX700E for years. Recently, I bought a new (refurbished) PC and reinstalled everything. Since then, I can't see the acestream link in my TV's online folder, it's empty. I've been reading before asking: I've tried to unistall/install both Serviio and acestream several times. I've installed a Serviio diferent (old) version. I've changed a lot of firewall options and even restarted it to the original config. I've installed Serviio and Acestream in my brand new laptop (W10, HP) and it happens the same: Empty online folder. I've tried with a different TV that worked well before (LG) and it happens the same.

The issue started after I installed my new PC, but it happens both in my PC & laptop and with 2 different TVs, so I think it must be something related to my Vodafone router (I don't know if something has changed in it, I didn't do anything). Also, I think it could be something related with Serviio, as Acestream works fine in both PCs.

I can watch the streams on TV if I use its browser and access to "http://192.161.1.2:8904/tv.asp" but even then the online browser is empty.

Anyone can help?

Thank you!
Eduardo

This is from serviio.log
I don't know if it could be related with the issue I described.

What is acestream you refer to this as if we know what it is?

EDIT: A quick search shows it's some kind of stream from torrent software. Maybe there are no seeders?

First of all, thanks for your reply.

The issue I'm suffering has nothing to do with acestream, as it works fine in my PC and even in my TV if I access the PC from the TV browser.

The issue (I think) must be related with one of this topics:

- Folder permissions
- Serviio config
- Firewall

If I use DLNA from my TV to access Serviio I can see the folders, but "online" folder is empty, there is no acestream link (that's already running fine in my PC) to start the stream in my TV. This used to be a firewall related issue, but I've checked it and made several changes without any success.

Regards,
Eduardo

For Serviio to function with an online stream, it has to be in a format that is recognized as a viable, playable media. If not, then you see nothing in the folder. Since it worked with your previous Serviio install, then there should be no issue with the current install. I believe you're on the right path, looking at permissions/firewall. As to where specifically to look, I'm not much help. I've never used online streaming sources, so no experience there.

However, your log seems to offer a clue. It's reporting an unknown file type. What Serviio profile are you using for your TV? It's possible that you were using a different profile with the previous Serviio install, and the one you're using now might not have the correct settings for online streaming.

Thank you for your reply. I'm afraid that was an old message while I was trying different things, it doesn't appear right now.

About the Serviio profile, I didn't change anything... It should be the default profile unless Serviio 2.1 has changed it by default. :-?

Well, perhaps Serviio detected your TV differently with the latest install, and now it's using a different profile. I'd double-check it to be certain what is being used.
