Beginner's guide to profiles

Hello,
https://showbox.bio/ https://tutuapp.uno/ https://vidmate.cool/
I've searched but couldn't find info on this.
I am completely new to using custom profiles in Serviio. Can someone please give me a quick tutorial on how to use custom profiles? Not looking to create new ones myself but use the ones created by members in the community.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Beginner's guide to profiles

There are two support pages that in tandem describe the creation of a profile. The first one describes the general layout, while the second one has detailed information about the actual transcoding processes and matching media.

Remember that if you're going to build a custom profile, it should be done in a separate profile file, as documented in the first article above. It must be named user-profiles.xml, and can contain one or more separate custom profiles. The name of each custom profile must be different from any existing profile. If you simply add your custom profile to the profiles.xml file, they will be lost when the next version of Serviio replaces that file. So keep them in your custom file only.
