2.2.1 Update Not Working At All

Self explanatory really!
1.
I only use Serviio for home streaming my movies from my PC to TV.
Updated to 2.1.1. from 2.1 and my TV no longer sees Serviio at all.
PC indictates 'Serviio' service is running.
Stopping then restarting the service; disabling firewall; rebooting PC and rebooting TV have no effect.
Serviio indicates it is seeing my TV but the TV only lists my PC user and MinimServer, my audio streamer, both of which work.
So what has broken and what needs fixing; apart from re-installing version 2.1 from scratch again, which I shouldn't have to do.

2.
Is there a way to stop update notifications which are not required for a working system I am happy with?

3.
Also, isn't it about time Serviio got the connected devices working?
Having the 'Enable access for new devices' unchecked it still lists everything on my network despite unchecking each 'Device allowed' and manually removing them.

4.
Also, why doesn't Serviio automatically update files that are removed from my library? New files added work OK, but still having to 'force refresh' manually with the 'Keep library automatically updated' checked' to prevent non existent files from being listed.

Well, I can't explain what's happening on your computer. I have 2.2.1 installed on both of my servers without any issues. Microsoft did recently release an update the turned my firewall back on, and also made my network connection listed as public, both of which would block Serviio from being visible on the network. So, assuming you are using Windows, check your network and make sure it's not shown as public.

What update notifications are you referring to? I think there's something that appears on the console when a new version is available, but you usually don't spend a lot of time in the console so that should be easy to ignore.

I'm not certain I understand the question. The console is always going to list what is detected on the network, even if you don't grant it access. You would want that in case of a future need to change it's access status.

Sometimes Serviio doesn't communicate with the computer OS well enough to determine when files are changed/removed. I don't think it's Serviio specifically, but something about the Java runtime that doesn't communicate correctly (Serviio is Java based, which is what makes it available on multiple platforms). When you notice that, you can enable the Poller function for that particular library location. I've found using poller that the troublesome locations are kept up to date much better.

Thanks for the reply.
Network was OK or else I couldn't stream my music.
Uninstalled then reinstalled 2.2.1 from scratch. Now working again.
The latest update must have broken something.
