Serviio

When playing Online sources containing radio stations there is sometimes a delay in starting, and then some hesitations and drop-outs near the start.
Once the station has been playing for say a minute it usually continues playing perfectly.
This does not happen with other systems which start instantly and without drop-outs.
I also have all the (unnecessary) audio transcoding removed as otherwise the delay and issues are usually significantly worse.

This issue may be due to buffering or other Serviio performance factors with Online sources.

Can buffering/performance be improved by configuration?
Can Serviio be improved to address these issues?
