Help reduce CPU and LAN activity
For example, currently I only have the Sony TV (which isn't on) and the laptop server itself listed as connected devices. When the server is started, Task Manager typically shows a send throughput of around 232kbps and a receive throughput of about 40kbps. I'm pretty sure this is all local traffic. But sometimes, after a while, the send throughput will crawl up to about 1.4Mbps with the receive throughput increasing to 240kbps or so. Just today, it was even as high as 3.2Mbps/720kbps!
What is going on, and can I somehow tell Serviio to stay in the 232kbps/40kbps range of activity all the time? Obviously, when I am streaming a film to the TV it goes up hugely but that is expected. What I want is it for then to return to the low activity state once streaming is complete because when it is really gobbling the bandwidth it is also taxing the CPU pretty high as well.
Thanks in advance for your help!
