Hello,
I am new here and with serviio. I installed it on a Linux Laptop to stream a music directory with subdirectories to my hifi equipment. It works but I am searching for random play feature over all titles (2500). Can me help someone?

That would be a function of your player, not Serviio. The Presentation settings provide the only control over what your player sees, and can't alter the way the player works. There is a music presentation that provides "Random Music" and "Random Albums". If you have one or both disabled, you need to go into the Serviio console and change the Presentation settings. Then your player would see that presentation and should provide random playback, regardless of your player's abilities.

The problem is, that my Mediaplayer cannot handle a random play with more than 500 titles. So I installed Serviio with the hope that the server can serv the titles in random mode. Someone told me, that Serviio has this feature.

The Random Music presentation I mentioned let's Serviio do the randomization. So that's the first place I'd try. But if your player has a file limit of 500 titles, that might be the problem. The Random Music listing will still show all titles, which in your case would show all 2500 titles. But Serviio would list them randomly.
