Serviio 1.10 shows up on Samsung Smart TV but won't run...

I have a Samsung Series 6 TV and was running Serviio 1.10 with no problem using a wired setup with MoCA; now Serviio will show up as a Source, but will not open up access to the folders from my Windows 10 Pro computer. When this happened before, I uninstalled Avast Antivirus and it worked again. I installed Avira Security, and Serviio still worked; but now it suddenly won't show any folders containing videos and mp3 files; the hourglass just turns on the TV. I even uninstalled Avira Security and turned off the Windows firewall; but it still won't show any folders as before. What now could be the issue?

Sounds like there's still something acting as a firewall on your computer. Since you're confirmed the past issue was caused by Avast, there's a strong likelihood that something from Avira is still stuck in there. I don't run any firewall on my home computers, as I'm not concerned about one accessing another. I'm assuming you've rebooted the computer after uninstalling your firewall software. But something is still blocking access. You might try running Task Manager and see if there's something you can identify from Avira still running in the background.

Here is the thing; since it worked with Avira Security for a long time, what could have changed? A Windows 10 update? Should I uninstall and reinstall Serviio? What kind of program or process would block Serviio, especially since it appears as a Source on my Samsung TV? I will check the tasks to see if something might cause it; but my uninstall if Avira is thorough since I use an uninstaller program which gets everything, because it keeps track when a program gets installed.

Yeah, it wouldn't be the first time a Microsoft update broke access for something else. Sometimes it will activate the Windows Firewall even if it had been previously disabled.
