Serviio

I installed serviio server on a PC recently formatted with Windows 8.1 Pro.
the error message reads:
serviio cannot connect to the server it doesn't seem to be running
some idea???

What are you trying to connect with? Try a web browser on the Serviio computer and try accessing the console and MediaBrowser (which you can do from the console). That will show if the server itself is running. Assuming this shows the server is running, then your problem is going to be network related. First check the firewall on your Serviio computer and make sure it shows Serviio with permission to pass through. Once that is done, then you need to look at your network, more specifically your WiFi settings for any setting that blocks access for connected devices to see other connected devices.
