Serviio

DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 6

Have run serviio for many years. All worked OK until I upgraded latest version of DSM. Then both serviio and Java SE Embedded 8 apps stopped running. The Package Centre showed both needing repair. Clicked on repair but both apps errored - invalid format - contact product developer.

Uninstalled both Apps on Synology.

Went to serviio website, and via Package Centre, added PCLoadletter as described. Went to Community which showed both Serviio and Java SE Embedded 8. Clicked Java and then Serviio but both errored with same message as before.

Is there an updated package for the latest DSM, or must I revert to an older DSM version (and if yes, which was the last to work with Serviio.

The NAS installation subtopic has a lot of discussions about Serviio failing with the newest versions of DSM. Perhaps you can find some answers over there. I don't use a NAS, so have no suggestions about specific issues with them. Also, the Serviio developer does not create the versions for the NAS installs. Instead they are handled by some knowledgeable users that have the NAS devices to test them on.
