Serviio not showing up on devices

Hello all,

I've been using Serviio over a few years now, never had any issues with it what so ever.
Since a few days i'm unable to reach my server on most of my devices, raspberry, android phone and samsung smart tv.
Resetting the router or switching of vpn (nord) sometimes helps for a few minutes but after little time i'm unable to find the server again...

Server is running on a windows 10 machine and all devices are connected via wire (except the phone).
Allready installed a new modem/router and switch, connections all seem to be good however issue keeps coming back...

Hopefully anyone is able to help me with this...

I think you have pinpointed the issue. A VPN running on the Serviio computer can cause all sorts of issues, and in general not recommended. VPNs intentionally mask or divert ports that are used to communicate on a network. Serviio uses the Universal Plug and Play (uPNP) function for making it's presence known on your network, and anti-virus firewalls and/or VPNs can block those signals. If switching the VPN off makes Serviio visible, there's your problem.

I know nothing about configuring VPNs, so I can't offer specific advice for fixing this. Check your VPN documentation to see how to allow your computer to remain visible on your local network. For uPNP to work, port 1900 needs to be open to your home network, and to reach the Serviio console you need port 23423 and for MediaBrowser you need port 23424 open.
