Hi
I love serviio, but was wondering if there is any way to get .srt subtitles displayed in vlc?
Best regards

Version 1.2.0 (
http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/win32/last/) support UPNP.
Subtitles in mkv files works perfectly, which is very nice. But would be great with a profile for VLC where .srt files where supported as well.
Best Regards

I am also interested on this functionality. Why can't we see subtitles on vlc?
Maybe this can be solved creating a profile for vlc clients?

Is there any reason not to advertise external srt files in the generic profile. Surely only those renderers that can use them would pick them up, the rest would just ignore that particular resource, no?

No reason, but will it solve VLC? ie does it work with the Viera profile?
