Serviio 0.4.1 OS X
10.5.8 PPC
Powermac Dual G5
Serviio fails to load (Bounces in dock then disappears, nothing shows up in top right hand taskbar, nothing in ps -ax output).
I also cannot find any log files when enabling
detailed logging by:
- Code:
nano -w /Users/maj/Downloads/Serviio.app/Contents/Resources/Java/config/log4j.xml
- Code:
<category name="org.serviio">
<priority value="DEBUG"/>
</category>
I assume for that full path, the log directory should be:
- Code:
/Users/maj/Downloads/Serviio.app/Contents/Resources/Java/log
Correct?

okay getting somewhere..
- Code:
LSOpenFromURLSpec() failed with error -10810 for the file /Users/maj/Downloads/Serviio.app.
I'm guessing it's Java related..

As you have PPC I'm not sure the Java loader will work. It's called JavaApplicationStub and is located somewhere inside the .app folder. This file is provided by OSX and just bundled with Serviio. If you manage to find this file in your PPC OSX installation you can try to replace it.
The log path doesn't have to change, it will save the file inside Serviio.app in a 'log' directory (under Java folder).

Hello,
Is there any Serviio version for a Power Mac G5, 2 x 2,3G, with 10.4.11 Tiger?
I tried to install the current Serviio version, but not possible due to the lower Java application.
Thanks.
I use serviio with my Windows PC and I really love it. I works perfect with my Sony Bravia EX710.

You'll need at least Java 1.6. And FFmpeg compiled for PPC.
