Hi, I have a laptop with Windows 7 and am using XBMC as DLNA client. It is not displaying subtitles. I have tried both Generic DLNA profiles and XBOX 360 profile. Anyone has got that working? Any suggestions for other DLNA players on Windows 7? Thx.

Hi,
I have the same issue...
Do you know if this is something related to the profile or to XBMC?
Thanks

Not sure if XBMC supports subtitles via UPnP, but neither of the 2 mentioned profiles send subtitles anyway. The LG/Panasonic profiles.

I tried to force the Samsung profile (workin perfectly with my TV) for my XBMC client without any luck. Upgrading fro v.10.something to 11 didn't solved the issue.
Also did a couple of searches and found other users with similar questions (they didn't stated the used server, but here the issue seems to be related to the client).
Since I didn't find any clear statement from their end, I just opened a new post there; I will come back here as soon as I get something, it might be useful for future references...

hey guys
any news on the issue? I would love to keep using XBMC as my client for Servioo, but for that, I'd need the subtitle support.
UPDATE: OK, if I choose the Philips profile instead of the Generic one, it seems to work. Awesome, love you Servioo

Yes, it supports. I used another DLNA server (I don't know if I can tell which one here) and the subtitles worked out of the box.
