hi all :)

with my laptop i can "play to" audio files to my networked mediaplayer and the connected av reciever via dlna....very good :)

not so good...i have all my music on a nas dns-323...."play to" doesn´t work, i´d have to make all files offline available,
which means copying all files to my laptop....i have 600 gb music and the laptop only has a 500 gb disk.....stupid windows 7!!!!!

ok, i can play music through the network mediaplayer by tv using the players gui....but scrolling is much quicker and easier via laptop.

can i get/use serviio to "push" audio files via laptop from nas to my network mediaplayer?
using a cable from laptop to av reciever is not really an option :D

thanks for any help
regi

There are media dlna controller programs that allow one device to control what is played on another. Do a search on google.

You can also look at the below link. Look for "control points" or control.

@Zip or a Moderator, this might be a good forum group to create, a group to discuss good DLNA control point programs and apps.

hi moltra :)

thanks for your reply

i have tried a few upnp media servers but none of them push to the mediaplayer,
they all claim to be the best and working servers :)

the only ones i haven´t tried are the ones you have to pay for, don´t get me wrong....i would pay for the server....if it really works the way i want it.

the most work if i search through the mediaplayer gui...server started.....turn on tv-->start player-->files manager-->network-->upnp-->select server installed/wanted.....much to complicated for my wife :)

i have now installed tools for upnp for microsoft, here the protocol info if that is any help:
